Idaho Driver Education 

IDLA Online Course - Course cost is $40
Students must be 14 1/2, class space is limited. 
Fall 2025 | Class starts on 10/27/2025
Spring 2026 | Class starts on 1/12/2026
Spring 2026 | Class starts on 2/23/2026
Spring 2026 | Class starts on 4/13/2026


Steps to Register:

  • FIRST: Obtain a Drivers Permit- Student will request a Verification of Compliance from the school. Using the verification and proof of age, student and parent will obtain a drivers permit from the DMV. 
  • Enroll in the IDLA course: Contact the school counselor for the enrollment passcode
  • Pass the class with 80% or higher 
  • The Idaho Driver's Handbook is the required textbook and can be acquired at the DMV or the State Department of Education's website.
